Hey! Fun fact: Cement is one of the most commonly used construction materials in the world. Concrete is the most used material in terms of overall volume. In fact, concrete is used twice as much in construction than all other building materials, including timber and steel. In the state of California, we are experiencing earthquakes very frequently, and therefore, driveways, walkways and all cement surfaces are exposed to a fairly high wear and tear plus the tendency to show cracks, unfortunately this is something that we got used to see so very often. Even though there are no 100% guarantees to achieve the perfect outcome and that long-lasting result, there is a few things that we can do to assure that all of our cement pouring projects will last longer and will be way more durable, resistant and stronger to mother nature unexpected outbursts, so what we do? We pay extra attention to prep work and compaction and we use 3000 psi even though the code require only 2500 psi.
